Patti

Being Catholic, we have the sacrament of reconciliation (formerly known as confession). I just began going again six years ago. It is wonderful to confess your sins to another. It gives me a new start. I know Jesus has set me free from my sin. I am glad you wrote about sin. Too often Christians refer to it as shortcomings, failures. But Jesus died for our sins. If it is a shortcoming or failure-it can't be forgiven. So I confess I am a sinner and will go to Jesus forgiveness and as my church has given us a sacrament-I will use that also. Jesus has truly died for our sins.

You've been on my mind this week. Just wanted to let you know that.

Like Patti I have embraced the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The guilt and shame have overwhelmed me at times but this Sacrament has brought healing and hope. Having someone hear me confess and not reject me has been a powerful blessing in my journey.

Hope

Just checking in - hoping you are okay? Wondering how you are and what is new in yourlife. Merry Christmas.
