Hope

"My worship will be heartfelt, but so will my grieving. The two can and do coexist.

This is so true. Hang onto it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. (((((((karyn))))))

Hey...if you havent already, CS Lewis, address this in his book the problem of pain. its good. you should check it out.

or not.

and being sad, is not a result of a lack of joy. that really is not biblical. You can be sad, and joyful at the same time. sad is a state of emotion. Joy is a state of mind and of the heart. Knowing that your sadness or suffering is temporary, and how it effects eternity and your bedrock of faith. residing in joy. you know? blah blah blah...i ramble...sorry.

I'm glad you are assertive about your real emotions... even the ones that don't look like what people tell us they are 'supposed to' look like. I have been 'supposed toing' myself to pieces lately, and it's so wearying. I commend you for being where you are as you are unapologetically, and I am grateful for a God who meets us right where we are as we are and is there with us.
